About Hinduism

Who is God?

Original Hinduism does not worship god. There are three main impersonal gods Brahma (Creator God), Vishnu (Maintainer God) & Shiva (Destroyer God) and 330 million+ other Gods.

How is it similar to other religions?

Hinduism believes in penance, austerity and good deeds in attaining salvation which is similar to Christianity, Islam and Buddhism that one should do good works.

How is it different from other religions?

It is a multifaceted belief system. Believes that there is no heaven or hell and that there is only reincarnation. Once you die, you do not go to heaven or hell but you will be reincaranted with the end goal of becoming one with the universe or Godlike together with the 330 million+ of impersonal Gods.

What is the ultimate goal?

Good Works and Constant Reincarnation = Reincarnate into the universe or Godlike

What is the main belief and goal of the religion?

Hindus believe in many different forms of Gods and self deification. Through constant reincarnations, the final goal is to become one with the universe or a God yourself. To escape the cycle of continuous reincarnations, it is through penance (prayashchitta), austerity (tapas) and good deeds (sukritya).

What are the wrong interpretations of the present day people?

The original belief is that one wants to strive to become one with the universe but present day Hindus now interpret the different forms of Gods as different Gods that they worship and pray to in exchange for worldly things.

What are the consequences if the religion you believe in is wrong?

If Christianity is correct and Hinduism is wrong, not accepting and believing in Jesus as dying on the cross as payment for our sins will make the person go to hell upon death. If Islam is correct, worshipping multiple forms God will warrant the person to go to hell too. If Buddhism is correct, Hindus will still get a good reincarnation since Hindus are expected to do good works.

What should you do?

All religions are very different from each other. Christianity believes Jesus is God while Islam does not. Hinduism believes in different faces of one God or possible multiple God while Buddhism does not talk about God at all. If you are serious about eternity or infinite never ending time after death, go search the truth as this is the biggest bet of your life. Then make a choice on what religion to believe in as all religions are different from each other. If you do not choose right, the end result is that you are giving up the hope or salvation after death and the truth is you only get one chance and choice in life.
